Through the years

I have been working on this post for a while. I am in a state of reflection right now as we get ready to have a new baby in our house. I constantly talk to Adriana about all of the things we did when she was a baby. How she acted, when she wore this outfit we went to this place etc... Unfortunately i am not able to access her baby pictures right now because they are on another hard drive, but here are pics of my Adriana through the years. She is just about to turn 4 and i can't believe it!

Here she is about 16 or 17 months.

Helping Mom paint the kitchen in our new house!

Getting geared up for winter!

From bassinet, to crib to a toddler bed. How she has grown :)

Always my big helper, whatever the task may be, but especially cooking! She asks us constantly when we are working on something, "what's my job?" She will happily do whatever then come back and ask for a new job!

She has cut her hair a few times

Loves to be outside, no matter the temperature. Any time we see flowers ANYWHERE she says, "look at the pretty flowers, Mom" and will smell them too if possible.

Dying Easter Eggs, glue, glitter, ANY type of project and this girl is all over it. The messier the better!

This little one is a very good blend of girl and boy. She LOVES to drive the forklift at Dad's work, work on the sprinkler system, the pond, she is learning to hang drywall. She loves to paint her toes, and dress up in her "magic" clothes (any princess dress).

Camping, going to the cabin or just being in the mountains is one of her very favorite places to be. She is an outdoor girl.

Learning to ride a new tricycle

One of numerous outings with Nana and Grumpy

Her very first fishing experience! Casting is reeling was a very fun activity that day. Spiderman was on her pole.

Adriana is an animal lover. Almost any type of animal. She loves to pet them, feed them, love on them and just play with them. Spiders are an exception, however.

Chris and Adriana are very silly together! They play and chase and do some of the most goofy things ever! They are great friends. It's such a wonderful thing to see.

One of my fave times she cut her hair. The bangs have really made a difference in doing her hair and her feeling a little independant since Mom doesn't force ponytails every day anymore.

Enthusiasm is not lost on this little one. When she is excited, she makes it known and big! This picture of her jumping up and down is a great example of that.

Now a big girl bike, that she can ride around the neighborhood on! She loves this bike!

My baby girl on her first day of preschool. She takes new adventures on with little fear or apprehension! Such a brave little soul. Always ready to embrace what's on the horizon.

Fireworks make her smile! I am sure the cupcake at 9:00 at night was an influence on this too :)

Adriana is always on the look out for new friends and kids to play with. When we get to the park if she spots anyone she will quickly try to befriend them. She asks their name and how old they are. She is quite outgoing when it comes to her peers.

My precious girl, it took me a long time to put this post together. I am very weepy sitting here thinking about how wonderful Adriana is and how much i love her. She makes me very crazy but at the same time she makes me VERY happy. She is thoughtful, considerate, loving, caring and passionate. Of course i could go on and on about how amazing she is. I am proud of who she is and how she is growing up. I strive every day to let her know i love her and how important she is to me.
I am grateful to be a Mom and for my little girl. I hope i can be a good Mom to her and to our newest one. I love being a Mom and all of the challenges that come with it.

Recent Activities

We are keeping busy with going to the park, the zoo, playing in the sprinklers and getting ready to start preschool! Not a whole lot to report but i have some cute pics i wanted to put up.
This is one of my absolute faves. I woke up before she did one morning and i couldnt resist taking this picture. i just want to hold her and kiss her!

This is how we are keeping cool! Sprinklers and even just chasing each other with the hose will consume our mornings :)

Chris has been doing A LOT of work in our backyard and this is how he takes his breaks!

Being pregnant, i can't seem to keep the house clean enough. Adriana is such a big helper! Here she is "shining" up her kitchen.

We also enjoy beautiful sunsets from our patio.

I truly dont like pictures of myself, however i do want to document this pregnancy like i did with Adriana. Here is me at 33 weeks. Delaney is scheduled to be evicted via c-section on Oct 8th. I am ready to meet this little one! i want to see her face and hold her :)

New stuff

Well, we have had a lot of ups and downs lately. We are still plugging along though! This post is just about some good things! Adriana and i had the opportunity today to go to the Zoo with my sister Kristine and her little girl, Xaria (Czaria is the pronunciation). Adriana, myself, Kristine and Xaria had a good time. It was a nice leisurely stroll thru the zoo then a rush to the car when it got hot for all of us! Adriana was very much taking charge of Xaria, pushing the stroller, holding her, making sure she was ok. It was very cute! So here are some pics of Adriana holding her.

Xaria hanging out in the stroller, happy as can be.

Kristine and her cute little munchkin

This is one of several pictures of a VERY exciting event! Daniel and Stacy's wedding! The kids are just playing in the field where the ceremony was held. It was an absolutely beautiful place to get married! Sylvan Lake

Mr and Mrs Daniel Kile!

That's all for now, i will be sure to update again soon!

Spoiled!

I know Chris didnt want me to post these pictures on Facebook, but i love these pictures too much to keep them for myself. I am currently 7 months pregnant and have a hard time reaching my toes let alone painting them nicely! So my wonderful husband was nice enough to make them pretty for me. He knows i really cherish having nice looking toes. Chris didnt want Adriana to feel left out so he very nicely painted hers as well! What spoiled girls we are!

Cozy Cow Dairy Farm

Today I had the opportunity to take Adriana to the Dairy Farm! I had never been, nor was i aware it existed! So i was really glad to get the opportunity to do this. We were able to go with my Brother-in-law Doug and the kids as well as a big group of moms and kids. Some Adriana and I knew.
This is the room where you can come any day for free and watch them milk the cows until you dont want to watch anymore!

The amount of milk and how fast they produced it impressed me! All the information they were giving sounded very similar to nursing! All 5 cows that were being milked at that time were also pregnant! Adriana and most of the kids didnt care much about this part.

Adriana with her new friend Jake in the dark coat and her cousin Ayden in the red coat. Jake's mom and i met on a website Moms Like Me. We live close to each other and have gotten together a few times for playdates. Adriana and Jake are like PB and J!! They see each other and are just the best of friends so far!

At the end of the tour the kids were able to feed some calves and goats and a couple of steers. This was Adriana's very favorite part! She would have stood there and fed the cows all day! She just loved it. Some kids were timid about these animals. Not my adventurous one! She walked right up and started petting them. At one point i thought she was going to kiss the goats!

Ryleigh and Masyn were not big into touching the animals. They were content to just hang back and watch.

All in all this was a good morning. The tour itself didnt interest Adriana that much until she was able to get up close and personal with the animals. Interaction is always her favorite part. There was a tractor and trailor the kids climbed on and played with and chased around. At the farm they also have a store that you can go in at any time and buy milk, cheese, meat and ice cream! We did bring home some cookies and cream ice cream to try! Adriana was able to try some fresh milk from the cows and some cheese curds. She drank two cups of milk and ate the cheese pretty fast! I would say...success!
