Through the years

I have been working on this post for a while. I am in a state of reflection right now as we get ready to have a new baby in our house. I constantly talk to Adriana about all of the things we did when she was a baby. How she acted, when she wore this outfit we went to this place etc... Unfortunately i am not able to access her baby pictures right now because they are on another hard drive, but here are pics of my Adriana through the years. She is just about to turn 4 and i can't believe it!

Here she is about 16 or 17 months.

Helping Mom paint the kitchen in our new house!

Getting geared up for winter!

From bassinet, to crib to a toddler bed. How she has grown :)

Always my big helper, whatever the task may be, but especially cooking! She asks us constantly when we are working on something, "what's my job?" She will happily do whatever then come back and ask for a new job!

She has cut her hair a few times

Loves to be outside, no matter the temperature. Any time we see flowers ANYWHERE she says, "look at the pretty flowers, Mom" and will smell them too if possible.

Dying Easter Eggs, glue, glitter, ANY type of project and this girl is all over it. The messier the better!

This little one is a very good blend of girl and boy. She LOVES to drive the forklift at Dad's work, work on the sprinkler system, the pond, she is learning to hang drywall. She loves to paint her toes, and dress up in her "magic" clothes (any princess dress).

Camping, going to the cabin or just being in the mountains is one of her very favorite places to be. She is an outdoor girl.

Learning to ride a new tricycle

One of numerous outings with Nana and Grumpy

Her very first fishing experience! Casting is reeling was a very fun activity that day. Spiderman was on her pole.

Adriana is an animal lover. Almost any type of animal. She loves to pet them, feed them, love on them and just play with them. Spiders are an exception, however.

Chris and Adriana are very silly together! They play and chase and do some of the most goofy things ever! They are great friends. It's such a wonderful thing to see.

One of my fave times she cut her hair. The bangs have really made a difference in doing her hair and her feeling a little independant since Mom doesn't force ponytails every day anymore.

Enthusiasm is not lost on this little one. When she is excited, she makes it known and big! This picture of her jumping up and down is a great example of that.

Now a big girl bike, that she can ride around the neighborhood on! She loves this bike!

My baby girl on her first day of preschool. She takes new adventures on with little fear or apprehension! Such a brave little soul. Always ready to embrace what's on the horizon.

Fireworks make her smile! I am sure the cupcake at 9:00 at night was an influence on this too :)

Adriana is always on the look out for new friends and kids to play with. When we get to the park if she spots anyone she will quickly try to befriend them. She asks their name and how old they are. She is quite outgoing when it comes to her peers.

My precious girl, it took me a long time to put this post together. I am very weepy sitting here thinking about how wonderful Adriana is and how much i love her. She makes me very crazy but at the same time she makes me VERY happy. She is thoughtful, considerate, loving, caring and passionate. Of course i could go on and on about how amazing she is. I am proud of who she is and how she is growing up. I strive every day to let her know i love her and how important she is to me.
I am grateful to be a Mom and for my little girl. I hope i can be a good Mom to her and to our newest one. I love being a Mom and all of the challenges that come with it.
