So I know it took me almost a month to get the text put in here and i am lame for posting just pictures! Mid September we took the kids with Chris' family to Maui. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back! We stayed for 6 days taking the red eye home. With the young Delaney that was the way to go! Both of the girls did a wonderful job traveling and it was a little rough on the trip out! We were supposed to have just a 2 1/2 hour layover in LA and we ended up having an 8 hour, yes EIGHT hour layover in the LAX airport. The kids all trooped right through it and we were super proud! This is the view from our lanai the morning after we arrived. We kept our lanai doors open the whole stay listening to the ocean waves break and crash as we were nodding off to sleep. When we returned home Adriana had a hard time going to bed with out that sound.
We went to a Luau one night and it was a lot of fun! Here are Jenn and Paul at the luau. Jenny trying to get posed and Paul being goofy.
The more poised shot :)
A fun shot of Julie
Chris and Delaney enjoying the luau
Delaney insisted on her ponytail being taken out before we even got in! So she had crazy hair that night
Julie and Tara
They called for all of the children to join onstage to learn to do the hula. Adriana didnt hesitate to go up and learn!
Sweet girl. It was so fun to watch her up there.
The kids at Iao Valley State Park. Such a beautiful walk around here.

The Ondr's
The group minus Tara, who was taking the picture.
Blake was being a little grumpy about having his picture taken. Chris was doing different things to make him laugh (mostly telling Blake NOT to smile or laugh) the result is some pretty good pictures :)
Adriana was laughing at Blake laughing. It was such a great sound. Laughter from kids makes my heart melt.
Adriana is always so sweet and she finds pretty flowers for me and picks them. This one in particular i thought was beautiful. I am not sure if she was supposed to pick flowers here or not but... my heart melted without regard for rules!
Dad, Mom and their kids
Delaney with the pretty flower. I love this picture of her.
The sunset from the lawn at the hotel. Breathtaking.
We went to the Northshore one day. Chris really wanted to make it to Jaws and see the waves, but we didnt get all the way there. The waves here are insane! The pictures dont do justice at all! It was really cool to see.
It is really windy here too. I dont know how people were successfull at any gliding there!
Chris and most of the group went on a glass bottom boat tour. They really enjoyed seeing the ocean life. Chris and the girls on the deck of the boat. Jenn, Paul and I rented jet skis instead and met everyone for lunch.
I think this was our last day. We decided to get family pictures while we were all together. Dad out at the tidal pools.
The whole gang. We were so lucky to all go on vacation together. We had a wonderful time.
Grumpy and Nana with the girls.

The whole gang again on the side of the hotel, just across the beach from the tide pools.
This picture is a re-creation of one that was taken about 15 years before this trip in the very same spot. I am going to frame them side by side at home.
Blake jumping in the pool. All of the kids really had a great time in the pool. Seems that Blake and Delaney liked it better than the ocean. Adriana is at home in any body of water!
Delaney with Tara in the pool.
Paul and Dad
This is one of the best pictures of Chris! I have a genuine smile captured here! He (surprise!) doesnt like it!
Paul just hanging out.
Chris helping Adriana with her snorkel. Unfortunately we didnt get to snorkel in the ocean, but she did a lot of that in the pool and loved it!
One thing we didnt get on our camera is Adriana body boarding. She had THE BEST time doing it! She laughed the entire time! She would get washed up on shore with sand all in her mouth and just laugh and run back for more! It was the best thing to watch! Delaney didnt care much for the beach or ocean. she tolerated it in small doses. We didnt take our big camera to the beach, so most of those pictures are on my phone. If someone can tell me how to upload those, i will!
All in all we had a wonderful time and are already making plans for a return trip in the future! The girls were amazing travelers and were worn out by the whole experience! It took a couple of days to recover when we got home. We are so glad we the opportunity to go!
