Yard fun!

Just a quick update. These pictures were taken last week on a night when we were working out back. Adriana was hauling rocks and toys around with her little wheel barrow. She also was helping Daddy put together the big wheel barrow.
So not much new is going on at the moment. We are just hangin in and getting things done around the house. We were looking to do a Flagstone patio out back but it was way over what we had budgeted. So Chris is now going to build a Pergola (like a porch cover) and also a really big waterfall/pond out back. He is really excited. I will be when it is done!

I do have one big announcement! Adriana is fully potty trained! I could not be more happy about it! She is really happy to wear her big girl panties and gets overwhelmed by her choices so sometimes i catch her in her room adding three more layers! it's too cute.

So while i am happier than ever she is potty trained, i am starting to struggle with the fact that my little girl is growing up. Our snuggles have been significantly decreased by the fact that our t.v. is hardly ever on anymore, and when we read stories she wants to just lay on her belly next to me on the floor. Mommy still needs snuggles! i am not ready for this! Anyway, i am enjoying more than ever being home with her and watching her learn. She continues to amaze me, make me smile and warm my heart. She is a sweet girl. She constantly reminds me of my manners! If i ask her to do something and forget to say please, she will say, "Please and Thank you". If she feels a certain mood and i say good job for following what i asked her she will say, "good job listening!" reminding me that yes, she did indeed do a good job listening.

Her current love is Worms! every time we go in the back yard she wants me to dig and find a worm, then she will carry it everywhere in her little shovel, she will put it in a cup and carry it around. She will even ask me if we can walk to the mailbox and bring the worm with us! Hmmm i think we need to start looking for a dog again!

She is just so beautiful!!! I'm very jealous she's potty trained, any secrets? How long did it take?

The waterfall and patio cover sound like big projects. Kudos to Chris, I'm sure he can handle them. I liked his 'elbow on the knee' pose. :) Very GQ.
